Parent-Assisted Friendship Training
For children with social communication problems, including children with nonverbal learning disorders, Asperger's Disorder, and very high functioning children with Autism who are attending a regular school program. This project tests an intervention intended to improve children's peer relations, using parents to aid the generalization of skills taught. The program is also designed to promote the development of best friends. Participants are assigned randomly to one of two groups of 50 children. One group receives the intervention 12 weeks earlier than the other group. The intervention is given free of charge to qualifying participants. Go to Next Research Program |
